Terms of Service

By clicking "I agree", creating an account, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use Mealo. By using the Services you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.

Mealo is a wellness service that combines a mobile and web application with coaching from independent Registered Dietitians ("RDs") and personal trainers. We help you plan meals, track intake, build habits, and follow a workout program.

Mealo is not a medical provider. The Services do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and are not a substitute for professional healthcare. Always consult your physician before starting any diet, exercise, or supplement program, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a chronic condition, take medication, or have a history of an eating disorder.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us at support@trymealo.com of any unauthorized use.

Mealo is offered on a subscription basis, billed through trymealo.com. Current plans:

• App only — $127/month or $265/quarter (~$88/month).
• App + Dietitian + Trainer — $197/month or $387/quarter (~$129/month).

Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout where required. You authorize Mealo (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method for the plan you select and for any renewals.

Automatic renewal. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period at the then‑current price until you cancel. We will send a reminder before annual renewals where required by law.

How to cancel (FTC "click‑to‑cancel"). You may cancel at any time (i) from your account settings on trymealo.com in one click, or (ii) by emailing support@trymealo.com with the subject "Cancel". Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not require a phone call, a chat with a representative, or any additional steps.

If we offer a free trial or promotional period, the terms will be presented to you at signup. Unless we say otherwise, your paid subscription starts automatically at the end of the trial at the applicable price.

Except as required by law or as described below, subscription fees are non‑refundable once the billing period has begun.

Results Guarantee (App + Dietitian + Trainer only). When you subscribe to the Full plan, your dietitian will establish with you a specific, measurable, time‑bound goal (for example, a target weight or performance milestone) during onboarding, and you will accept it before purchase. If you satisfy each of the eligibility requirements below and do not reach that goal within your program window, we will refund the fees you paid to Mealo for that program window.

• Follow the meal and workout plans provided by your dietitian and trainer.
• Log your macros in the app each day, within 24 hours.
• Log your workouts in the app each day, within 24 hours.
• Program window: 90 days from your plan start date.
• Reasonable accommodations apply for verified medical events, pregnancy, or injury.
• One guarantee per customer.

To claim, email support@trymealo.com within 14 days after the end of your program window. We will verify eligibility from your in‑app logs and, if eligible, refund the applicable fees to your original payment method in cash (not credit). We honor the guarantee fairly and do not use eligibility as a pretext to deny valid claims.

Nutrition and exercise carry inherent risks. You are responsible for understanding your own health status and consulting a qualified professional before starting or changing any diet or exercise program. Discontinue any activity that causes pain, dizziness, or discomfort and seek medical help. If you experience thoughts or behaviors related to disordered eating, please contact a qualified professional or call the National Alliance for Eating Disorders Helpline at 1‑866‑662‑1235.

Parts of the Services use artificial intelligence (for example, meal photo recognition, fridge scanning, recipe suggestions, and the AI chat assistant). AI outputs are labeled as AI in the app and may be inaccurate. Your personalized plan is reviewed and approved by a human Registered Dietitian and a human personal trainer. AI does not replace professional judgment.

You agree not to:

• use the Services in violation of any law;
• upload content you don't have rights to share;
• reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Services;
• impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or health status;
• use the Services to provide medical, nutrition, or fitness advice to others.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Services (photos, notes, measurements). You grant Mealo a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Services and to deliver your plan. You can delete your content by deleting it in the app or by requesting deletion at support@trymealo.com.

The Services integrate with third parties such as Apple Health, Google Health Connect, Instacart, Amazon Fresh, Walmart, Kroger, and Whole Foods. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Mealo is not responsible for third‑party products.

The Services, including all software, content, and trademarks, are owned by Mealo or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non‑transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose.

If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, please send a notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) to our designated agent at support@trymealo.com (postal address: WebWiseAI Tomasz Ścierski, ul. Brzoskwiniowa 67/8, 43-100 Tychy, Poland).

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or produce specific health results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mealo and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold Mealo harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws principles. Subject to Section 20, the exclusive venue for any dispute is the courts located in Tychy, Poland, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Please read carefully — this affects your legal rights. You and Mealo agree to resolve any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Services by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, in Tychy, Poland, instead of in court. You and Mealo waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class action. Either party may bring an individual claim in small‑claims court.

30‑day opt‑out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@trymealo.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms with the subject "Arbitration opt‑out" and your account email.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you (for example, by email to the address on your account or in the app) at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
